BIBLE LESSON: Straight From the Heart (Psalms 63:1-8)

BIBLE VERSE: O God, you are my God; I earnestly search for you. My soul thirsts for you; my whole body longs for you in this parched and weary land where there is no water — Psalms 63:1 NLT

BIBLE POINT: I was made to worship God.

David was a worshiper of God from the time he was a young boy. He spent time thinking about God, and he wrote poems and songs for the Lord. Later he went to the temple to worship the Lord. David's continued devotion prepared him for a time when he was unable to worship. In fact, David wrote Psalm 63 while Saul and his men were trying to kill him. David was able to do this because he knew that he was made to worship God. Like David, we were made to worship God!
