REVELATION: JESUS IS COMING BACK FOR US Revelation 21 & 22

June 6, 2021

The Bible tells us about heaven, an amazing place where there’s no more death, sadness, or pain. It’s beautiful, with golden streets and giant pearl gates. There’s a crystal-clear river flowing down the middle and an amazing tree on either side. It’s never dark in heaven because God’s brightness is constant! Best of all, heaven is where Jesus wants to be with us forever.

BIBLE POINT: Jesus wants to be with us forever.

TALK ABOUT IT VIDEO

A Forever Friendship

Today we’re learning that Jesus wants to be with us forever. What do you think it will be like in heaven with Jesus?

There was a boy named Colton who almost died during surgery. He said he went to heaven and met Jesus there! Let’s see what he says about heaven.

What do you wonder about most after watching this video? What most excites you about what Colton said? What questions would you like to ask Colton about heaven?

When Colton saw Jesus and angels, it was amazing! Colton said he felt safe in heaven and met people he’d never gotten to meet. He describes heaven as a scene of vast colors and a place full of joy. We don’t know exactly what heaven will be like, but we know it will be amazing! And anyone who believes in Jesus can spend forever there with Jesus.

THE PRODIGAL SON Luke 15:11-32

May 19, 2021

Jesus tells a parable, or story, about a son who takes his inheritance while his father is still alive, then runs away and squanders the money in wild living. He humbly goes back home, and the father welcomes him with loving arms and a celebration. This story is a picture of God’s deep love for us.

BIBLE POINT: We are deeply loved.

The Prodigal Biscuit

We’re learning that we are deeply loved. In our Bible story, a father showed his runaway son that he was deeply loved.

Think about a time you lost something important to you.  You know who else is deeply loved? Our doggy friend Biscuit! Let’s see how Biscuit’s mom handles it when Biscuit runs away!

While Biscuit was gone, how could you tell that his mom really, really loved him? Why do you think she welcomed Biscuit back so excitedly—and still offered him snuggles?

Nothing Biscuit can do would take his mom’s love away. And nothing we can do could take God’s love away! We are deeply loved.

JESUS CALLS DISCIPLES Luke 5:1-11

May 12, 2021

Jesus is teaching a crowd and steps into a boat to better teach everyone. The boat belongs to some fishermen who have been fishing all night but haven’t caught anything. After teaching, Jesus tells the fishermen to cast their nets again. When they do, they catch so many fish that their boat starts to sink! Jesus calls them to follow him and fish for people, and they leave everything to do that.

BIBLE POINT: We are followers of Jesus.

Miraculous Catch

We’re learning that we are followers of Jesus. What’s one reason you want to follow Jesus? Let’s see what happens when some fishermen—or fisherhogs—meet Jesus.

What was it about Jesus that made the fisherhog want to follow him? Why is following Jesus worth leaving everything?

Simon the fisherhog, just like Simon the fisherman in the Bible, left everything behind to follow Jesus. We are followers of Jesus because he’s worth leaving everything else!
